Small writeup of making an iPhone stand from scratch. Starting in SketchUp, printing prototypes, revising, and finally printing at home on my MakerBot.
Mapping Main Street
Some of my photos were used in the short film “Main Street Port Jefferson” – part of the NPR Mapping Main Street project. The film was put together by Mark Sternberg, Adam Gismondi, Ryan Hodum, and Luke Ceo, and includes some of my photos from the 2009 Charles Dickens Festival in Port Jefferson.

Perseid Meteor Shower
Despite some heavy cloud cover, I did manage to get at least one photo of a meteor. The weather for tonight doesn’t look promising for a second try. I was outside for about 35 minutes, enough to take this photo.
